We've been talking about doing a summer happy hour since the pandemic ended in mid-2022, and have finally put a stake in the ground and decided on Thursday, July 27. Come one, come all to mix with new colleagues and old friends, catch up on what's been happening in the industry, and even do a bit of low-key networking.  
 
Happy hour will start at 5:30pm and last until 7:30pm, or, more informally, until the bar closes. The location is Scallywag's, an old-fashioned Irish pub located in Hell's Kitchen within easy walking distance of both Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. 
 
Scallywag's is known for its friendly, relaxed atmosphere and good selection of British and Irish beers and ciders. The pub menu isn't bad, either. The bangers and mash are first-rate. 
 
We'll be in the back room past the main bar. MAGNY will be picking up the first round of drinks and any initial appetizers the crowd may went. The second round is on you. If turnout is decent, then expect additional happy hours in the second half of 2023.
